Road to Canterbury

This lovely five-bedroom home was built from the ground up, and we had the pleasure of collaborating with Paul Bates Architects and these long-term clients from the inception through the final layering details. We had  worked with the family on multiple projects and knew the best way to achieve a harmonious balance between the wife’s preference for traditional design and the husband’s more modern aesthetic. Abundant natural light, steel windows and doors, crisp white paint colors and lime washed wood, set a clean and serene stage for showcasing the many antiques and one-of-a-kind pieces the couple had collected while traveling the US and abroad. An octagonal shaped dining room is fully upholstered in white leather to add an inviting and intriguing touch to the entertaining experience. The loggia and pool area is enclosed on three sides, creating a central courtyard to maximize outdoor living.
