This lovely home sits on quiet circle near the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and was designed for a special family. Over the years, we’ve worked on multiple projects for these long-term clients. We partnered with Paul Bates Architects, from inception to layering the last details, to fulfill the empty-nest couple’s request for a light and airy atmosphere that was also comfortable and grandkid friendly. The wife’s wish for all things “white and light” was granted with painted white stone, white steel windows, white upholstery and white marble. The main level features a large open living space with a dining area and kitchen, and oversized steel doors fold open to reveal the pool and loggia. The final result is a calm, serene, spa-like experience with soft color tones and textural fabrics punctuated with just enough dark detail to add depth and interest.
